This is a great deal for anyone who will have Trick-or-Treaters or anyone with a sweet tooth!

Chicken Tortilla Soup

• 1 chicken


• 3 TBS Olive oil


• 1 small onion, chopped


• 1/2 bunch cilantro, snipped


• 1 TBS cumin


• 1 TBS garlic pepper


• 2 tsp lemon pepper


• 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce


• 1 can Rotel*


• 1 can chicken broth


• 1 can beef broth


• 1 can stewed tomatoes


• Monterrey Jack cheese and tortilla chips for topping (optional)

1. Boil and de-bone chicken (I recommend using a Rotisserie chicken, it is so convenient and tasty!)


2. Saute onion in the Olive oil in the pot that you are using for the soup


3. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 45 mins over medium heat


4. Garnish with cheese and tortilla chips

ENJOY!!!

*Regular Rotel will make a pretty spicy soup. Mild Rotel works really well and still gives it enough of a kick!

Target Coupon Policy

Target allows you to stack coupons. Translation: you can use 2 coupons on one item - 1 Target coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon.

A manufacturer coupon is any coupon that you print or get out of the newspaper that isn't for a specific store.

Target coupons can be found on Target.com and afullcup.com (click on coupons then Target coupon generator). You can also print Target coupons from the registry kiosk found in the store - I tried this today and there are only a few of the coupons listed to print from the store so I suggest printing them at home.

Here is Target's official coupon policy. It is a good idea to print it out and take it with you in case you get a checker that is clueless (yes, it has happened to me).

Target Deals: Degree

There is a great coupon match-up for Degree Deodorant and Body Mist at Target right now. Remember that you can use both a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon for the same item.

You can now download coupons directly to your shoppers card (i.e. Kroger, Tom Thumb) and the coupons will automatically come off your bill when the checker scans your card. This is a MUST for saving $$ because it is SO EASY!

It's Thursday! That means that Old Navy will soon be resetting their coupons at OldNavyWeekly.com!

There will be some great coupons, but quantities are limited. The GREAT coupons go REALLY REALLY fast! Last week the $75 off a $100 purchase coupons were gone in about 1 minute!!

There is no way to know when they will actually reset the coupons. You just have to keep checking the site.

How do you play? Just go to OldNavyWeekly.com and start clicking around! Certain parts of the webpage will be movable, change colors and other creative things that the Old Navy people come up with. Once you click the right place a coupon will pop up.

Once you find a coupon:

UPDATE: the coupons reset at around 6:57pm and they went FAST as usual. Here were the hiding places:

• 75 off 100: click on the bird that flys on the screen
• 50 of 100: move the orange scarf onto the green sweater
• move the bangle bracelets out of the bag onto the modelquins wrist - the one dressed in black
• 15% off: put the white plaid shirt on the blonde modelquin
• 10% off: put the pink scarf that is in the purse on the modelquin that is holding it

Once again I only got the 25% off - thanks in part to my computer deciding to run at snails pace.

Monkey Bread Bites

This is an excellent recipe that is quick, easy, and DELISH! I have made this several times for pot-luck breakfast/brunches and it always gets great reviews. Sorry I don't have a picture to post... I am a long-time reader, first-time blogger :) I will get the hang of this blogging thing and start posting pics with my recipes.

Monkey Bread Bites

1/2 C granulated sugar
1 TBS ground cinnamon
1 (12 oz) can refrigerated biscuits (I used Pillsbury Grands but any type will work)
1/2 C plus 2 TBS butter
1/4 C firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 C chopped pecans*(optional- I usually use walnuts or slivered almonds to save $$)
Foil muffin cups

Combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 TBS cinnamon in large bowl. Cut biscuits into six pieces and add to sugar mixture, toss and set aside

Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and remaining 1/4 C granulated sugar stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and nuts*.

Spray foil muffin cups with cooking spray and place in muffin pan. Arrange 4 coated biscuit pieces in each muffin cup. Drizzle evenly with sugar mixture.

Bake at 400 degrees for 18 minutes or until golden.
